Hello! Thank you so much for offering to write one of these fandoms. I requested all of these because I think they’re great series that deserve more fanfic, and I’m so excited to read whatever you come up with.

This is my fifth Yuletide! I had a great time writing last year and I loved my gift! Honestly, every year I'm like "oh this year I don't know if anything I like is YT eligible" but I'm always wrong and it's always a highlight of my holiday season, so I’m looking forward to doing it all over again.

I’ll start by outlining general likes and dislikes, and then elaborate further on specific series/character requests. I am extremely easy to please, so please take these as guidelines or soft requests (since I know how frustrating it can be to get a vague "write me anything!!") rather than hard rules.

IN GENERAL:
I like genfic, I like shipfic with no porn, I like shipfic with porn. All variations are fine with me.

I'm a huge fan of “could-be-an-episode" fic that exists squarely within the reality of canon; I like prequels, midquels, cut-for-time filler episodequels, and canon continuation! I don’t mind some bending of the “rules" of canon -- as an example, I find stuff like characters in “mundane" series developing mind-reading powers etc. hilarious -- but often I like series because of their stories/settings so I tend to prefer relatively canon-compliant fic to outright AU unless otherwise stated in specific requests -- I’ve included a couple of AU prompts in some of my requests, so this is super not a hard rule, just a generalized preference. I’m very partial to casefic, but slice of life works just as well for me.

I enjoy character studies, particularly for characters we don't get pov for much in canon, and in particular I like character studies in which writers bounce the focal character off of a number of other characters -- I tend to prefer this kind of cast-based character study to introspective navel gazing fic. I particularly like stories about navigating friendships! Even in shipfic, I like seeing the two central characters interacting with the rest of the cast. In general, the more of the cast you include in whatever you write, the better! I love huge messy full-cast affairs.

In terms of shipfic, I am disgustingly easy to please. I’m hugely into friends to lovers - I love the idea of two people being best friends and then figuring out that they’re actually really into each other. I ALSO LOVE PINING. Slow burn is my absolute jam, and I love get-together fic. On the other hand, I love “we used to date and we broke up and now we’re older and we’ve reunited and we have to navigate our new relationship with all that history." Jealousy/possessiveness is fine with me, but I’m not into abusive relationships or non-con.

I would love a funny fic if you are feeling up to it! I love to laugh. I’m not that into “random" humor/crackfic, but I’m pretty easy otherwise.

On the other hand, if you want to write something sad, go ahead - my only request is that since it is (will be) the holiday season I really would like a relatively feel-good fic at the end of things. This doesn't preclude angst or sadness or anything -- I love emotional stake-raising!! -- but I would like to come out of everything feeling not (too) emotionally wrecked, if only because I will read your fanfic and then spend the day being social with my family and loved ones. I guess what I’m saying is that I’d really prefer you at least end on a hopeful note?

Every year I request this because I still think it's the greatest series/franchise of our time, a true cultural zeitgeist. I honestly still can’t believe that this series is real. Everything about it was a magical adventure of gay and sparkles and ice skate magic and laughing for no reason whatsoever!! I’ve been to about a thousand ouen screenings of both movies and I just wish there were plans to localize them! I'm happy that Crunchyroll picked up Shiny Seven Stars, but there's just so much Hayami Hiro Lore I need the world to know.

Hayami Hiro is my favorite Evil Gay Stalker Turned Redemption Arc Soft Boy. I kind of love how awful he is in Rainbow Live, and I super love how basically no one even talks about it in King of Prism. I really like characters who think they’re doing the right thing but just are… deeply incorrect? And Hiro-circa-Rainbow Live is that trope on steroids. There’s some part of Hiro from Rainbow Live that really genuinely believed that he was the only person who could perform Kouji’s songs, and that it was Kouji who betrayed him, and that’s both hilarious and tragic.

I ship Hiro/Kouji really, really hard; I like that they were childhood friends, I like that Hiro betrayed Kouji but spends most of Rainbow Live convinced it was the other way around. I’m also really into how horrible and possessive Hiro is over Kouji’s songs (and Kouji), and I also love that they did their best to redeem him so by the time King of Prism is underway he's just a Good Boyfriend who just wants to Support Kouji. I would be overjoyed to get any shipfic for them. I’d like anything - schmoopy fic about before everything went terribly, possessiveness and awfulness during the betrayal era, reconciliation, whatever.

If you aren’t interested in shipfic, gen is totally fine, too - fic about OTR as a group learning to work as a unit, or after the events of Pride the Hero when they’re reunited. Hiro and Shin, or really any of the kids at Edel Rose. Hiro was a kind of awful person in Rainbow Live, so him taking the kids under his wing and trying to act like a good senpai would be hilarious (something with Yu? HE WANTS TO DESTROY HIRO IT’S VERY IMPORTANT TO ME). This series is so ridiculous and so underrated and all of the boys are so good, I’ll enjoy anything. If you're more into Rainbow Live than King of Prism and want to include or even focus on the girls I would love that; I’m not into Kouji/Ito and I deeply believe that Hiro doesn’t deserve Bell OR Naru, but I love the girls and would love to see them again. I particularly love the Bell/Hiro/Naru friendship dynamic and would like to read about how that worked for them moving forward.

EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE OVER THE DSRK GAMES BUT I AM STILL NOT.

Devil Summoner Kuzunoha Raidou XIV vs. King Abaddon is one of my favorite games of all time, and I really like vs the Soulless Army, too, though it’s much harder and I am kind of garbage at it (I like to joke that when they were making King Abaddon ATLUS just took everything hard out of the first game and replaced it with something gay). The Taisho period is such an interesting time in Japanese history, and there's something so romantic about the era -- it was a historical moment that straddled tradition and the past and modernity and the future in a lot of very interesting ways. I think the DSRK games really feed into that, you know? In a lot of ways the setting informs the game; Raidou is a traditional figure, supported by a cast of demons, who has to keep order in the capital - and inevitably chaos comes from the interaction of tradition and modernity. these are strong words for games in which robot zombie Rasputin and LITERAL SATAN are the antagonists, huh?

I really like Raidou (he’s particularly great in the drama CDs, if you have access to them), but Narumi is my favorite character in the series. He fits into a very specific subset of character that I like very much, which I’d describe as "no-good old guys who come through when they’re needed." I love how frivolous he is in his day-to-day, but that comes from his troubled past, and I like that he really does try to be a good person (as an example, at one point in the drama CDs Raidou admits he’d wanted to go to school because he hasn’t been in ten days, and Narumi sends him off, and then admits to Tae that he’d kind of hoped he could ask Raidou to do the laundry for him.)

Narumi/Raidou is my forever ship. Now, literally ten years after I first played these games, I am still just as on fire for them as I was in the beginning. If anything, time and lack of content have just made me thirstier lmao. I have a hard time even explaining what I like so much about it -- I like that Narumi is technically there to keep an eye on Raidou but that in the day-to-day Raidou has to keep Narumi in line, I like that they’re opposites, Narumi all flash against Raidou’s quiet, Narumi representing modernity while Raidou is tradition. I LIKE THE AGE DIFFERENCE AND I LIKE THAT THEY’RE BOSS AND SUBORDINATE DON’T LOOK AT ME and I also like that they’re equals at the same time. I like that Narumi tries to take care of Raidou and protect him, in his own way, because he’s an adult. I like that Raidou doesn’t need it, not really, but that Narumi does it anyway.

I’m also very happy to get genfic, to be honest - I think the 1920s time period is a great opportunity for some period gen about mundane day-to-day (with demons. And zombie robot Rasputin? I don’t know.) Obviously the series lends itself to casefic; what's Raidou 3 going to be about? It's more than the ten year anniversary at this point but hey, maybe this is my year!!

Waver Velvet Sad Man Wifi Mysteries Was My Favorite Show Last Season

So this show was a pack of absolute nonsense and to be honest? I loved every second of it. I said this last year (right before I got a killer Fate/Go fic lmao) but my big caveat is I am, at best, a huge Fate/Casual. There’s something so good about the Fate/Franchise, I think it has an incredible world and story and I like the combination of just buckwild possibility (“who would win in a fight between Gilgamesh and King Arthur?") and strict rules (“well, it would depend on their respective classes!"). But, like, for real, it's basically nonsense, right?

I'm anime-only for Lord El-Melloi II; I started with Fate/Zero and I am a casual-ish Fate/GO player. I’ve also watched most of Apocrypha and I’m familiar with Stay Night, although those are obviously less relevant for this request. Also I have a lot of Fate/Friends and there is nothing, apparently, that Fate/Fans love more than explaining Fate/Lore to a willing student. But whenever it comes to Fate I always end up coming back to Waver, he is hands-down my favorite character and I was so excited to get a mystery show centering on his exploits!

I love Waver Velvet in basically every incarnation; I love that he’s this stupid baby who bit off more than he could chew just to prove a point and then immediately realized he’d made a huge mistake and spent most of the grail war holed up in an apartment with his servant playing strategy video games. I love that he’s kind of a monster, but he’s also a man Iskandar respected and loved enough to die to protect. Their bittersweet parting, and the way that Waver’s loyalty to Rider sticks with him in quiet ways throughout the rest of his relatively storied career, is one of the best things about Fate to me. Waver loves Rider so much they had to write a whole ten book series to keep him out the grail war again lmao. I feel so proud of himself and the way he's carved out a life for himself - students who adore him, his friendship (?) with Melvin, his strange relationship with Reines even - all of that is so precious, and it's what really made this series something special.

I am a huge murder myster/crime procedural fiend and I would be thrilled to get casefic for it (maybe in the style of an Agatha Christie novel? I'm not saying that Waver is Poirot, but…………) If not, I'm happy to get slice of life fic as well. What are Gray and Waver's days like? What kinds of hijinks do the El-Melloi Class get into? What if they all have to go on a school trip together and it becomes a nineties hot springs episode lmao I'm just spitballing here.

Re: shipping, if you're inclined, I'm really not interested in Waver with any of the students or with Reines, but I have a huge soft spot for him with Melvin. Obviously I really like past Rider/Waver and as I'm sure is obvious I think Waver is still in love with him, but what does that mean for Melvin? What was it like for Melvin, to find Waver alive after all those years but for him to be completely focused on someone else? Melvin is a weird sadist, but he also seems to genuinely care for Waver; he's essentially claimed ownership over the person Waver was before with the possession of Waver's magic crest. Honestly if you wanted to write shipfic I'd be into it. There's probably sex stuff tuners can do in the fate universe? I'll just show myself out

I've been playing A3 since its first year and I've loved it, it is so funny and the characters are so genuinely good, it's such an excellent entry in the Boy Training Game category, which I love. I've been so thrilled with the reception of the English-language version, I think the translation is so good and I'm so happy that everyone has finally gotten to meet and get to know these good good boys.

Kazunari has been my boy since I started playing, I love him with an intensity I'm… not super proud of hahaha. I just like him so much -- how emotionally intelligent he is, the way he's good at reading a room and how he tries to make other people happy even if it means keeping his own opinions to himself. I like that even when he's introduced he's kind of introduced as this joke character who is annoying and off-putting, but also right off the bat everyone has to admit he's really skilled. I like his arc in the story a lot, the ways in which he's trying to change himself, to be brave and to put himself out there, and I'm so glad that he's found a place to belong in Mankai Company.

Kazunari's relationship with the rest of Summer Troupe is so terribly important to me; like I said, I'm just so glad these weirdos found each other. Even though Kazunari is a weirdo, he's also kind of everyone's big brother? Everything about their relationship is good -- how weirdly well he and Muku get along, his absolute bisexual energy regarding Yuki, how he can roll with everything about Misumi and he and Tenma really respect and like each other. If you wanted to write any gen about Summer Troupe, I'd welcome it! A new play, or they go to the beach or a hot springs or an amusement park, anything.

My primary Kazunari ship is with Tsuzuru. I like that they knew each other from high school, and that Tsuzuru kind of respects Kazunari in spite of himself and how much that truly, truly embarrasses him. Canon says they went to high school together and were aware of each other but weren't really friends, and I'd welcome fic about that! Maybe fic about Tsuzuru hearing from an old high school upperclassmen how badly Kazunari tried to be friends with everyone, and he feels protective or weird or even jealous about it?

I like a bunch of other relationships: Kazunari and Masumi's LINE friendship, or Kazunari's tutoring Tsumugi in Youth Slang, or even just how overtly thirsty Kazunari is about Omi and Tasuku's big muscles lol. I really am very flexible on this prompt, I would generally love to read anything about my boy!!

I got started with MXTX's novels this summer when I slammed all the way through MDXS in a weekend and I loved it: a silly, overdramatic, sad, heartfelt murder mystery. I very shortly after read through Scum Villainy and kind of miraculously I finished that even faster, and I know I should be reading Heaven's Official Blessing now but what if I just reread Scum Villainy over and over again, honestly? There's so much about this book that resonated with me - the ways in which it has its tongue firmly in cheek, how it engages with what it's like to be an author and what it's like to be a fan, the themes of self-improvement etc. I just really, really loved this book.

Shen Qingqiu is my favorite; I think he's a really interesting character, especially the ways in which he goes from being so mad at a bad internet novel that he dies of rage (? big mood, honestly) to how he finds a home, how he unravels the hidden plots within the book, and how he becomes like? A really good teacher-dad? A good buddy? A guy that basically everyone adores, especially the guy who's supposed to turn him into a human toothpick lmao? The gap between how he presents (cool, biting, aloof) and his internal monologue (YOU JUST WASTED A PERFECTLY GOOD WAIFU TT) is one of the many, many things I like about him. I just think a lot about how everyone in the book -- Binghe's girl next door wife Ying Ying, and Ming Fan, and even Liu Qingge -- everyone comes out better than they would have been otherwise just thanks to their interaction with this very normal Cucumber Bro cosplaying as a danmei villain. That part when he's been missing for years and everyone is so upset? Chef's kiss.

If you're mostly interested in writing gen, I've given some prompts above, but I really enjoyed the whole cast and I'd like to see them some more. Maybe post-series, when Binghe and Shen Qingqiu are together and everyone keeps getting in the way of their private time, and Binghe comes closer and closer to achieving dark lord status once again? Maybe everyone has to solve a mystery? Maybe during the series when Binghe and everyone are students, and they find a cat and everyone instantly falls in love with it (Shen Qingqiu complains about it but then every night it sleeps with him and he keeps finding himself absentmindedly stroking it and Binghe is like (clutches chest) WHAT IF THIS FURRY INTERLOPER REPLACES ME, Ying Ying: was Luo Binghe always this weird.)

I'm on fire for Luo Binghe with Shin Qingqiu. There's just so much about their relationship that ticks my boxes; that they're teacher and student, that one kind interaction was enough to turn Binghe from Dark Lord Harem Protagonist to Puppy Dog Yandere BL Seme Character, the ways in which pain and misunderstanding and loyalty interact in their relationship. The scene where Shen Qingqiu knows he has to throw Binghe down to hell, even though Binghe trusts him so implicitly and can't understand why? Perfection. I genuinely would love to read shipfic; maybe a missing chapter in the original novel? A series of quests where Shen Qingqiu knows they ended with sex scenes and only realizes halfway through that once again, he's playing the role of all of Binghe's Wives. Maybe something happens in the dreamscape? Maybe Binghe and Shen Qingqiu switch bodies or get stuck in a time loop or something tropey like that! I would really welcome smut for this pairing -- I live for service tops and bossy bottoms, I'm sorry if this is too much information for you.

If for some reason you're not into LB/SQQ, I would also really welcome a fic about Yue Qingyuan's relationship with Shen Qingqiu. As the person closest to Shen Qingqiu, what did Yue Qingyuan think of all of the changes in his personality? Was he glad to see Shen Qingqiu making friends and being kinder, or did he feel kind of lonely? If you wanted to write Yue Qingyuan/Shen Qingqiu I would love to read that as well.
